August is the portal to fall for me. I love August. I celebrate August but the poor month has gotten lost between the end of summer vacation and the start of school.
August is school month. The “summer is over” days.
So what am I doing this August day?
I’m rewriting my first manuscript for Zondervan, Once Upon A Prince. Very excited about this book.
Next week I’m heading to Oregon for the Oregon Christian Writers conference. I’m excited to teach a few classes and hang out with other writers, editors and agents. 🙂
When all of that is said and done, heading into September is one of my favorite times of year — conference and college football.
Labor Day weekend, Hubby and I head to Tallahassee to spend the weekend with my big brother, watching football all day Saturday.
I come home from there in time to head to a book show in Naples with the Belles.
Then, it’s off to Dallas for the American Christian Fiction Writer’s conference. Always a fabulous but busy time.
So, that’s the busy stuff. What about me? What’s really going on? Peace. Joy. An understanding that God is so much more than I realize or can grasp, but that He stirs Himself daily to show His love for me.
We have no real idea of what the future holds but I know HE holds the future. I know HE holds me.
The great Psalm 26 declares it better for me.
