I love this verse out of Ephesians 2.
v10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.”
I pause to meditate on the word workmanship. We are the very work of God. Created in Christ for good works. Good works!
If I think of creating a novel, which is my workmanship, I am passionate about it. I brood over it. I plan good things for it.
Now I’m a finite human with a thousand limitations. But God is infinite and no limitations.
What I cannot do, He can.
This morning I lamented, “Who’s my champion?”
He answered, “I’m your champion. And I’m infinite.”
See, we, okay, I, look to men to be my champion when I should fix my gaze and heart on Him.
With man, things are impossible. With God, they are not.
At the end of it all, we know this is true: God loves us. God is for us. God has prepared good works for us to walk in.
So I saw, “God, have boots will travel.”
Whatever You need. Whatever You want.

I love this analogy. He cares about His workmanship as we care about ours! You’ve encouraged me today–thank you!

Janet, don’t you imagine our whole emotional chemistry would be changed if we just laid hold of this truth and worked to live it out?! 🙂 It’s a life long journey but a worthy one…
