I’ve been looking for a boot “bootie” for a while now. I have a pair I love but they are starting to look a bit worn.
I found a couple of pair a few weeks ago — which I loved — but the perfect, heart stopping, eye catching bootie eluded me.
Until DSW today. At the Poughkeepsie Galleria.
So far, if I found a boot I loved, the store didn’t have my size. Which is the reason of the big eluding.
My dear friend Tonya headed toward the sale racks and I followed. There were a lot of size 8s for once but I wasn’t sure I’d find anything.
In fact, I was going to go to the heels to find a pair of sandals I loved last summer but could never find.
Then, there they were. Heart stopping, eye catching, an “oh my” pair of boots. Swoon…
I tried them on. They fit perfect. Cut close to my foot, which I love. Italian leather. A grayish buckskin kind of look.
I walked around to find Tonya. “What do you think?”
“I love them.”
So much so, we looked for them in her size.
Showed them to hubby. “Half off,” I said.
Really, at this point any dialog is just a formality. The boots were on my feet and not coming off. I was walking out with them.
I accomplished all of my goals in coming to NY this weekend.
An anniversary weekend with my amazing husband and best friend.
Going to the city and seeing a show in Manhattan with our heart-friends, the Dunhams.
Speaking at the ladies refresher at Change Point. Praying to bring some part of God’s heart
for them.
Ministering to the body of Christ here with Hubster on Sunday. They are so much like family.
Playing Euchre.
Laughing. Must laugh!
Connecting hearts, sharing the love of the Lord with those we will be with forever.
This life is just a taste of the goodness and JOY to come.
