A old story. But new cover.

Was blessed to be able to re-release this older title from Steeple Hill with Forget-Me-Not Romances.

Just came home from a writing get-away up the road at Teen Missions.

Three days of repotting and writing like crazy. Got to a good stopping point before having to come home.

We have a house guest this weekend.

So, How To Catch A Prince is coming along.

It has what we call “the paralyzing premise.”

A great title but just WHAT is that story?

I’ve started it over 3 times. But some key story elements kept recurring so I know i”m on t the right track.

Funny, the Lord said to me the a few weeks ago, “Write for Me.”

I said, “Of course! I thought I was..”

But there was more to what He was saying.

I figured it out this week.

Don’t so construct the story that I miss the elements He’s trying to add.

I think He’s taking me to a new place with this concept.

Yesterday while writing and feeling very stuck and frustrated, asking for help, I found an emotional vein with the Heroine and the story took off.

But then today, as I was going in one direction in the scene, God spoke. IN THE SCENE.

“Through my character.” To me.

And it changed the end of the scene from good to really good.

So that’s why He means when he says “write for Him.”

Write His heart into the story because we are His hands, His feet, His story tellers.

I think I have His heart right, but I’ll pray and ask.
