Is it cheesy to say I’m living my dream?

That I still marvel at the reality of these people who call me mom?

That I get to see books (plural!?!) with my name on the cover?

That I have the pleasure of interacting with readers and other writers on a semi-regular basis and call that work?

That sometimes I get to teach others about writing– and even better sometimes I get paid for it?

When I was a little girl I dreamed of being a writer and a mom. I don’t recall dreaming of much else. So when I thought over our question for this week I couldn’t think of any other answer except the truth: I have my dream job.

And I’m counting my blessings.
